Export Co-ordinator Assistant


An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our organisation in delivering the Department of International Trade (DIT) contract for the East of England as an Export Co-ordinator Assistant. DIT is responsible for promoting British trade across the world, providing bespoke and tailored services to businesses, supporting the achievement of their export growth objectives.

We are now looking for an Export Co-ordinator Assistant who will assist the Export Co-ordinator to ensure the successful implementation of the ERDF events programme. You will support event activities and facilitate the delivery of high quality events that help companies to grow through exports.

This position will cover the East of England region.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the export co-ordinator on the delivery of high quality events;
  • Liaise with the marketing team to support the development of an agreed schedule of events;
  • Ensuring all marketing activities adhere to DIT's corporate branding guidelines;
  • Maintain systems and procedures which enable the effective planning, delivery set up and close of events and workshops;
  • Provide essential administrative support for  the logistical elements of event planning;
  • Carry out the procurement tasks relating to events organisation such as raising purchase orders, invoices, expenses and  related records;
  • Attend events as required representing DIT in a manner that enhances DIT and Exemplas’ image and reputation;
  • Liaise with delegates and facilitate a positive experience for them through excellent communication both remotely and in person, to ensure a positive event experience;
  • Keep up-to-date with relevant professional developments that will be of benefit to the planning and delivery of the event offer.

You will have experience of event management and significant administrative experience, preferably within the public sector. You will have high levels of organisation and planning skills and keen attention to detail. Familiarity with CRM and financial databases and processes is desirable. You will be a self-starter, excited about working against challenging targets and timeframes, with strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to engage with people at all levels. 

This role is subject to Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) pre-employment screening.
